Location: Powderly, TX (Shop & Equipment Yard) + Travel to Job Sites Across Texas & New Mexico

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team and assist with the maintenance, repair, and service of our fleet of rock trenchers, with a focus on Tesmec and Vermeer models. This role involves travel between our main yard in Powderly, Texas and various job sites throughout Texas, New Mexico and surrounding states. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, especially in heavy equipment used in trenching operations, along with experience in welding and fabricating.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Tesmec and Vermeer rock trenchers.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Conduct field service repairs at remote job sites as needed.
• Fabricate and weld parts and components as needed
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Coordinate with field crews and supervisors to schedule and prioritize equipment servicing.

 Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience working on heavy equipment, preferably rock trenchers.
• Direct experience with Tesmec and Vermeer trenchers is highly desirable.
• Proficient in welding and fabricating techniques.
• Ability to work independently in remote environments.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL a plus).
• Willingness to travel throughout Texas, New Mexico and surrounding states as required.
